| Camp Lone Cloud is located in Halifax about 20 minutes from the downtown center and only 10 minutes from the Halifax International Airport. The main facilities are on a seven-acre island on Miller Lake in the community of Fall River; outback camping takes place on the Scouts Canada mainland property. The island accommodations were recently replaced with six new cabins that can sleep ten campers and two counselors each.
A modern washouse was recently completed. The waterfront is complete with modern customized docks and swimming area. This camp is open for youth aged 8-15 years old for six weeks of summer camp in July and August. At other times of the year, the facility is available for rental to non-profit and corporate groups. |
